I live in an area where there is lots of money and not much parental supervision. I can't tell you how many kids are on facebook in junior high with no parents checking that they understand what they are doing or even have privacy settings set. I LOVE facebook and all its features but in the hands of a child...scary. luckily we have a couple years before we have to worry but I agree 100% that parents need to be keeping up with this stuff even if they don't want to use it personally I agree with the age requirement.
