MJ Tam - Creator of TheChicagoMoms.com / Editor of Chicagonista
MJ (@mjtam) started blogging in 1999 and has since been very active in the Social Media world. This mom of 3 is the Editor of Chicagonista.com – a site for Chicago’s active families, Lead Blogger of TheChicagoMoms.com and the Creator of City Connect Media, Inc. that owns and operates Chicagonista.com, NYMetropolista.com and hoping to launch more city sites on her list: San Franista, SoCalista, and Miaminista. She also expanded Chicagonista by making room for the successful-minded 20 something NextGen Chicagonista and recently partnered with Nancy Loo and created Young Chicagonista that is giving voice to young girls from 11-17 years old. In January of 2010 she started co-hosting with Chicagonista LIVE!, an online talk show on Chicago-centric issues with Nancy Loo, Duong Sheahan, and Beth Rosen.
In 2007, MJ was one of the panelists at Google – Moms Know Tech and since then has spoken in many other blogging conferences. She was also listed in “75 Top Twitter Tips from Today’s Small Business Moms” found in American Express OPEN / Small Businesswebsite. Just recently, she instructed “Hands on Small Business” –Social Media class series with Microsoft Office Live and Kirtsy and you can even find her in the CRAVE Chicago Book – The Urban Girl’s Manifesto that listed 125 women you need to know. She is also a proud writing member of the Yahoo! Motherboard.

What began as a journal in 2007 is now a review site and opinionated forum that discusses just about any subject headlining in Social Media-land. An avid Twitterer Dwana is also the Assistant Editor at Chicagonista.com
Dwana holds a Masters in Law Enforcement Administration coupled with 23 years as a veteran criminal justice/law enforcement agent. She is mom to a teen and his dog and resides in Chicago, Illinois.
As a Brand Ambassador for General Motors, Dwana has hosted several “Tweetup” social networking events at The Wildfire Restaurant Chicago/Schaumburg and has an ongoing relationship promoting Chevy Missions and all GM product.

Vanessa Druckman (@Chefdruck) is thrilled to be an editor of The Chicago Moms blog. She is a French Foodie Mom to three little monsters who drive her to the brink of sanity by claiming to prefer Kraft mac and cheese over the real deal.
Her husband’s job recently relocated their family from the New York area to the Midwest, and Vanessa has been busy exploring the region. When not throwing her kids in the back of her dirty minivan to check out markets and farms, Vanessa blogs about cooking and parenting at her blog Chefdruck Musings and writes about books and the stuff in her life at Chefdruck Reviews. She is also a cooking and parenting freelance writer for a number of publications and websites.
